Sheboygan, Wisconsin. March 23, 2011.

Traffic on North Avenue in the city of Sheboygan is being re-routed due to a sink-hole that occurred there this morning.  Deputy Public Works Director Dave Biebel said a 10-foot section of pavement in the 1500 block sank about a foot.  He said yesterday’s rain combined with the frost leaving the ground caused the pavement to collapse around an old manhole.  Biebel said repair crews are on the scene.  Meanwhile, eastbound traffic is being re-routed on 19th Street over to Martin Avenue.
