Hanover, Pennsylvania. February 2nd, 2011.

A snow plow was no match for a sinkhole. Officials in Hanover Township, Northampton County said a township plow got stuck around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon. The hole opened at Brentwood Avenue and Greenfield Road.

The driver of the truck wasn’t hurt.

Officials say a nearby water line broke and that’s what caused the sinkhole.

Water service has been turned off in the area, Officials haven’t said when it will be turned back on. The plow was on its last run of the day when the mishap happened.
